My Additional Projects

As well as my work as a scriptwriter, I have also taken part in many other productions in different roles during my time at university and college

Secrets

Directed by Christopher Norton

In January 2024 I was a Production Assistant on the Feature Production for 'Secrets' by MonkeyDribble Films.

Taking place over several weeks, this was my first experience on a feature film production and I undertook various tasks such as using the clapperboard, filling in for the soundie/ boom mic operator, looking up possible extra shoot locations & picking up fellow crew on the way to set.

Lawn of the Dead

Lawn Of The Dead is a short documentary about James Waterfield, who creates horror inspired garden ornaments which he shares on his page: ‘Lawn Of The Dead’. For this production I worked as the sound recordist and transportation/travel organiser. Part of my tasks involved planning the route to the filming location and with parking and what time we had to depart at. This helped me top feel more confident at planning/ scheduling transport for a shoot as I observed how transportation can have an important impact on the efficient running of a shoot and why arriving on time via the most optimal route is so important.

The Lost Years

This short film was produced in my first year studying creative media at Fareham College. One of the first short films I ever produced, this was one of my first opportunities to put what filmmaking skills I had learned into practice and I was very happy with how the film turned out.

Carl

One of my first productions at university, Carl follows the story of a child who loses their mother to childbirth and their relationship with their distraught father. On this production I feel I understood more about the many aspects that go into a production such as location scouting and approval, where I contacted a local council regarding permission to shoot in a public park. I also learnt how the transportation of equipment to set is an important consideration as our set required the right lighting for the desired visual effect, so we had to transport the right amount of studio lights along with the camera and sound equipment to the set and then set everything up. This helped me to understand how much preparation is needed before the shooting can even begin and why pre-production is so important to the overall success of a production.

Personal Travel Vlogs

Along with my work in College and University, I have also made several videos documenting my passion for travelling around the world. These videos were not a professional production; however, I have greatly enjoyed creating them and I'm very happy with how they turned out.
